    For foreigners who want to study in Austria, you must have a document that confirms your school education. You can also apply for admission based on the availability of a document about the educational degree already obtained, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

    To confirm school education, all necessary documents must be translated into German and notarised with an Apostille.

    Another mandatory condition for obtaining higher education in Austria is the availability of a certificate confirming the level of proficiency in German. In most universities, only students with a level of no lower than C1 are admitted to study. If the applicant has an A2 level, he may be offered to enter a preparatory program (depending on the conditions of the particular educational institution).

    The average cost of studying in public universities in Austria is around 740 euros per semester. You should also consider monthly expenses for housing, food, transportation, communication, and educational materials.
